About the Instructor

After more than 40 years' experience, training and research, Nick McCarthy is one of the highest level martial artists in the UK, holding an 8th degree black belt in Defendu / Gutter Fighting. Nick is a leading authority on Gutter Fighting and holds a special interest in preventing violence and using all the latest tactical approaches. Many of these were developed by intelligence agencies like the CIA and MI5, as well as Special Forces. Nick is pushing for this amazing system to be taught much more widely.
